Hi folks asking for your help yet again , I finally got frank kents birth cert , remember he was adopted by Thomas cropper  from a workhouse and married my great aunt Lillian white . back to the cert .
His mother is Martha kent domestic servant  , address given 59 Hall st southport  ,born 17th feb 1893 , reg 6th march 1893 NO FATHER LISTED .
1891 census Martha age 18 servant  at 146 Duke st .  for widow Fanny carson and 2 daughters . 1901 census for 59 hall st . occupied  by the Parr family couple and  2 daughters , so  who was at hall st in 1893 when Martha was there having frank ,who is the father . ( Martha listed as from  burton on trent ,staffs  1873 and I  she later married  arther w slater  from Bolton . Is there a connection between Martha and the croppers ?  your help is urgently needed  and would be very welcome . thanks lemondog

I think you will probably never be able to find who was the biological father.

But, you could try and find a baptism and see what was written on the register.  Sometimes there would be notes written at the edge.

Does the chappie have a middle name?

Good hunting, I have my fingers crossed for you.

hi ,thanks for the hint would I find baptism records in the ONLINE PARISH    CLERKS PROJECT ,
Frank was put into a workhouse by his mother  and was then adopted. so it may be fruitless   do you  think his mother would take the time to baptise him ?I think the workhouse was listed as Manchester but again she wouldn`t have to list the father . Funny that he always kept the kent name even when he had been given away . very sad
