At the open day I had a long visit from a local Rimmer gentleman who told me he had been looking for a Martha Sutch who was his grandmother.

I was able to find the death of a Martha Sutch 79 registered in Ormskirk in the June quarter 1917 which seems to fit his time frame.

Does anyone have a Martha Sutch in their tree?  I will be meeting up with Mr Rimmer again on Sunday at the Rimmer Reunion so hopefully he will give me more information.

Fingers crossed...

My 3rd great grandmother Martha Sutch was born in Maryport, Cumberland and married my 3rd great grandfather Thomas Sutch.  Thomas Sutch is buried in St Cuthbert's graveyard.

What good news.

I know there has been a 4yr gap since the first posting but I'm sure that Seacop will have the name of the gentlemen who is looking for Martha.
