Does anyone know anything about an Edward Hesketh born c1800 in North Meols. He married an Alice (born c1806 in Scarisbrick) and they had one daughter (that I know of) Isabella born c1840 in Halsall. Isabella married William Forshaw in 1863, registered in Ormskirk and then when he died she married Thomas Hunter (born c1830 in Rufford) in 1877 - also registered in Ormskirk.
Thank you for the info. I have looked for her birth and their marriage already (apart from in the parish records). I just thought that someone might have them in their tree as I have 2 young children and find it difficult to spend much time at the record office!
Thanks Lorrie - I only know his name is Edward from the census. I haven't been able to find any trace of them in BM or D's so it is possible he was William but called himself Edward. He is a bit of a mystery! His wife was Alice and Isabella did put her birthplace down as Halsall on the census's.
I ordered the marriage certificate for Isabella Forshaw (nee Hesketh) and Thomas Hunter in 1877. It states her fathers name as William not Edward. He was a canal boatman. They were married at the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Ormskirk. I have been unable to find William on the census's. Does anyone have a William Hesketh born c1800 in North Meols in their tree?
